What GPUSniff does

GPUSniff is a browser extension and website that compares GPU and gaming hardware prices across major retailers. We help you find the best deals without tracking you around the internet.

Information we collect

The GPUSniff extension stores your price alert preferences and settings locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

If you sign up for our email waitlist, we collect the email address you provide. We use this only to notify you about GPUSniff updates and launch announcements.

We do not collect browsing history, personal information, keystrokes, or any data from pages you visit beyond detecting GPU product information on supported retailer sites to show you price comparisons.

How the extension works

When you visit a supported retailer's product page (Best Buy, Newegg, Amazon, B&H Photo, Micro Center, Walmart, or eBay), the extension reads the product title and price on that page to identify the GPU model. It then fetches comparison prices from our service. No personally identifiable information is sent during this process.

Affiliate links

GPUSniff earns affiliate commissions when you click through our price comparison links and make a purchase. These are standard affiliate tracking links provided by retail affiliate networks (CJ Affiliate, Rakuten, eBay Partner Network, and others). The retailer knows you were referred by GPUSniff, but we do not receive any information about you personally from the retailer.

Using our affiliate links does not change the price you pay. The commission comes from the retailer, not from you.

Cookies and tracking

The GPUSniff website may use basic analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Affiliate links set cookies on the retailer's site as part of standard affiliate attribution — this is controlled by the retailer, not by GPUSniff.

Data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. We do not have access to your retailer account information, payment details, or purchase history.

Data retention

Email addresses provided through our waitlist are retained until you unsubscribe or request removal. Extension data stored locally in your browser persists until you clear it or uninstall the extension.

Your choices

You can disable or uninstall the GPUSniff extension at any time through your browser's extension settings. You can request removal of your email from our waitlist by contacting us. You can clear all locally stored extension data through the extension's settings page.

Children's privacy

GPUSniff is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
